Mohamed Salah Faces Six-Month Driving Ban for Speeding

Mohamed Salah, a former forward for Liverpool, has been handed a six-month driving ban after failing to provide information about the driver of his Rolls-Royce, which was caught speeding at 36mph in a 30mph zone in Wilmslow, Cheshire, on March 27. Salah did not respond to a prosecution notice from Cheshire Constabulary and did not enter a plea.
He was prosecuted at Warrington Combined Court under the Single Justice Procedure, which allows magistrates to handle certain cases in private. The court convicted Salah for “failing to give information relating to the identification of the driver of the Rolls-Royce.” In addition to the driving ban, he was ordered to pay £1,044.
This incident occurred shortly after Salah announced his departure from Liverpool on March 24, where he scored 257 goals in 442 appearances before transferring to Turkish club Trabzonspor after the 2025/26 season.
