Nigerian Man Sentenced to Life for Murder in London

Fawaz Abdulkareem, a 36-year-old Nigerian man, was sentenced to life imprisonment by Croydon Crown Court on June 5, 2025, for the murder of 32-year-old Daniel Manuel. The incident occurred on July 5, 2025, in a residential building in Vauxhall, where Abdulkareem fatally stabbed Manuel following a dispute.

Despite emergency response efforts from police and paramedics, Manuel was pronounced dead at the scene. Investigations revealed that Abdulkareem and Manuel had spent the evening together with friends before the argument escalated into violence.

Abdulkareem was arrested at the scene and charged with murder and possession of a blade, with the murder weapon, a knife, later recovered from the upper floor of the building. The trial jury convicted Abdulkareem based on extensive police work led by Detective Inspector Luke Hampton.
