UKVI Advises Student Visa Holders on Travel Steps
On September 2, 2026, UK Visas & Immigration (UKVI) posted an advisory on its verified X account, @UKVIgovuk, for individuals holding a UK student visa. The agency outlined three critical steps that must be completed prior to traveling to Britain.
The first requirement is that student visa holders must ensure they have access to their eVisa, which serves as proof of their permission to enter the country. If any errors are found on the eVisa, UKVI instructed students to report these issues through the official government portal before their departure, rather than attempting to resolve them upon arrival.
This advisory aims to help students avoid complications at the border, ensuring a smoother entry process into the UK.
