Ukrainian Drones Strike Wildberries Warehouse in Russia

Early Friday, Ukrainian drones targeted a warehouse belonging to Wildberries, Russia's largest online retailer, near Saint Petersburg, resulting in a fire that injured three individuals, according to Alexander Drozdenko, the governor of the Leningrad region. This incident is part of a broader campaign by Kyiv, which has escalated long-range drone strikes on Russian military and logistics sites.

The attack on Wildberries is the third in a week, following a previous strike on one of the company's logistics hubs outside Moscow that killed eight workers. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky claimed these facilities were involved in supplying components for drone production.

The campaign, termed "long-range sanctions" by Kyiv, aims to retaliate against Russia's missile attacks on Ukrainian cities. Following the drone strike, Pulkovo airport in Saint Petersburg temporarily suspended flights, affecting around 50 departures.

Drozdenko reported that 59 Ukrainian drones were intercepted, while Russian officials typically downplay successful strikes by Ukraine.
