Umahi to Sue Ohiri Over N280 Million Allegations

David Umahi, the Minister of Works, has announced plans to take legal action against Tracy Ohiri, who has accused him of being indebted to her for N280 million related to campaign materials. The allegations gained traction after Ohiri made claims on social media, which went viral.

Umahi's legal representative, Barrister Abubakar Marshal, intervened in a separate matter involving Ohiri, who faced accusations of sexual harassment and was arrested by security agencies. Following this, Ohiri deleted her posts and issued a public apology.

Umahi's statement, released by his Senior Special Assistant on Media, Franci Nwaz, indicated that Ohiri must provide complete evidence to support her claims. The Minister emphasized that he has remained silent on public attacks for years but felt compelled to respond due to recent developments.

Umahi's legal team is set to proceed with court action to ensure the truth is established, and he has stated that he will not be distracted from his ministerial duties.
