Umahi to Sue Ohiri Over ₦280 Million Campaign Claims

David Umahi, the Minister, has announced plans to initiate legal action against Traci Ohiri concerning allegations linking him to ₦280 million in campaign materials. The dispute has gained public attention after Ohiri repeated her claims online, accusing Umahi of financial misconduct.

In response, Umahi instructed his legal team to commence court proceedings to establish the truth. Ohiri had previously accused Umahi of failing to pay for campaign-related materials and made allegations of sexual harassment, which circulated widely on social media.

Following intervention from her lawyer, Marshal Abubakar, Ohiri deleted her post and issued a public apology, retracting her claims. However, she later resumed making allegations against Umahi.

The Minister emphasized that the resolution of the matter would either be through the court or if Ohiri provides verifiable evidence to substantiate her claims. Umahi expressed his commitment to transparency and maintaining focus on delivering infrastructure projects across Nigeria.
