Igwe Ben Emeka Named NLC Anambra Grand Patron

Igwe Ben Emeka, the traditional ruler of Umueri in Anambra East Local Government Area, has been nominated as the Grand Patron of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) Anambra State Chapter. The announcement was made over the weekend by Comrade Sir Humphrei Emeka Nwafor, the chairman of the NLC in Anambra State.

The nomination was unanimously accepted by the members present. As Grand Patron, Igwe Emeka is expected to mediate and intervene in labor matters, reinforcing the union's solidarity.

Emeka, a notable philanthropist and the executive chairman of Hilton Leisure Resort Hotel, expressed gratitude for the nomination and assured the NLC that he would not disappoint their expectations. He holds an honorary doctorate degree in business administration from Paul University, Awka, Anambra State.
