Akpabio: APC to Increase Governors Before 2027 Elections

During the APC's 8th national convention held in Abuja on Friday, Senate President Godswill Akpabio expressed optimism regarding the party's future, stating that the All Progressives Congress (APC) currently has 32 state governors. He believes this number will grow ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Akpabio highlighted the significance of the APC in making substantial changes in Nigeria, despite ongoing economic challenges. He praised the reforms initiated under President Bola Tinubu's administration, asserting that they would restore Nigeria's dignity on the world stage.

Akpabio assured that the APC would maintain control over the National Assembly and emphasized the party's commitment to a renewed hope agenda for Nigeria, which he believes will lead to progress. He also addressed concerns regarding security, assuring that the APC would support Nigerians in overcoming these challenges to restore peace in the country.
