FUOYE Scholars Receive N89 Million in Research Grants

Four scholars from the Federal University Oye-Ekiti (FUOYE) have been awarded a total of N89.964 million in research grants from the Nigerian government under the National Research Fund (NRF). The beneficiaries include Prof.

Omotosho Babatund Joshua, who received N19.964 million for a project aimed at addressing unemployment in Nigeria's formal labor market. Dr.

Adeniyi Bolajoko was awarded N20 million for a research project titled "Chalkboard Intelligent System: Comparative Analysis of Traditional and AI-Driven Teaching in Nigerian Federal Universities." Dr. Ojo Stephen Kayod received N21 million for developing innovative cosmetic formulations using fungal melanin for hair growth enhancement and dandruff management.

Lastly, Dr. Adeley Olutayo Ademola was granted N29 million for a project focused on combating diabetic wounds using natural remedies and ethosomal hydrogel delivery.

The Vice Chancellor of FUOYE, Prof. Joshua Olalekan Ogunwol, commended the scholars for their achievements and emphasized the university's commitment to fostering innovative research that addresses national challenges.
