FUOYE Researchers Secure N89.9m FG Grants for Research

Researchers at the Federal University Oye-Ekiti have been awarded N89.9 million in grants from the Federal Government through the National Research Fund. This funding aims to support innovative research projects that tackle significant socio-economic challenges in Nigeria.

Prof. Joshua Ogunwol, the Vice Chancellor, announced this achievement, describing it as a milestone for the institution.

The successful projects include one led by Prof. Omotosho Babatund Joshua, which received N19.964 million to address unemployment in Nigeria's formal labor market.

Dr. Adeniyi Bolajoko secured N20 million for a study on intelligent systems in education, while Dr.

Ojo Stephen Kayode received N21 million for developing innovative cosmetic formulations using fungal melanin. Dr.

Adeley Olutayo Ademola was awarded N29 million for a project focused on combating diabetic wounds using natural remedies. This funding reflects the university's commitment to high-impact research and enhancing Nigeria's global competitiveness.
