University of Benin Appoints Bimp Omoyiwola as Registrar

The University of Benin has officially appointed Bimp Omoyiwola as its new registrar, as announced in a statement by the university's public relations office, represented by Benedicta Ehanir, on Wednesday. Omoyiwola will succeed Ademola Bobola, whose five-year tenure concluded on March 31.

She is expected to assume her new role on April 1. Hailing from the Isin Local Government Area in Kwara State, Omoyiwola holds a master's degree in International History and Diplomacy from the University of Benin, along with postgraduate qualifications.

Additionally, she is a fellow of the Chartered Institute of Public Management in Nigeria. Prior to her appointment, she served as the Director of the Registry at the College of Postgraduate Studies at the University of Benin, where she gained significant administrative experience that she is expected to leverage in her new position as registrar.
