UNIBEN Launches Career Readiness Training for Students

The University of Benin (UNIBEN) successfully organized a soft skills and career readiness training program for its students, aimed at enhancing their employability. This initiative is part of a broader strategy to ensure that UNIBEN graduates are equipped with practical competencies required to succeed in an increasingly competitive global environment.

The program was delivered in partnership with the Centre for Vocational Training and Skill Acquisition (CVTSA) and Jobberman, reflecting the university's commitment to producing 21st-century compliant graduates. Professor Edoba B.

Omoregi, the Vice Chancellor, emphasized the importance of equipping students with not just academic knowledge but also practical skills for the workplace. Professor Andrew Amenaghawon, the Director of the Centre for Vocational Training and Skill Acquisition, described the program as a demonstration of the university's evolving approach to higher education, complementing academic excellence with practical skill development.

The initiative aims to prepare students for success beyond the classroom and advance the institution's vision of producing employ-ready graduates.
