UNICEF Donates Nutrition Supplies to Combat Child Malnutrition in Kaduna

UNICEF has donated lifesaving nutrition supplies to Kaduna State as part of efforts to combat child malnutrition and improve child welfare. The Kaduna State Government released 400 million for child nutrition interventions, enabling UNICEF to support the procurement of ready-to-use therapeutic food and lipid-based nutrient supplements.

UNICEF noted the significant challenge of malnutrition in Kaduna, especially during the critical first 1,000 days of a child's life. The state government's counterpart fund of 5.8 billion was lauded as a strong commitment to public health and children's well-being.
