UNICEF, WHO, UNDP Praise Kebbi's Health Insurance Scheme

UNICEF, WHO, and UNDP commended Kebbi State for its health sector transformation during a visit on Wednesday, led by Governor Nasir Idris. Wafaa Saeed, the UNICEF Country Representative in Nigeria, praised the introduction of a health insurance scheme that assists families in affording healthcare.

During the visit to a primary health center, an elderly woman expressed gratitude for the scheme, noting it helped her save money for feeding her family. Saeed emphasized the importance of such initiatives in providing support to those in need of healthcare services.

The visit underscored the collaborative efforts of these three UN bodies in recognizing Kebbi as a pace-setter in delivering quality health services.
