UNILAG VC Calls for Stronger UK-Nigeria Academic Ties

Prof. Folasade Ogunsola, the Vice Chancellor of the University of Lagos (UNILAG), called for deeper academic collaboration between Nigeria and the United Kingdom during an event at the Faculty of Social Sciences.

She highlighted the need for equitable global partnerships to tackle socio-economic and educational challenges faced by both nations. Ogunsola noted that Nigeria and the UK confront similar pressures in public service and education infrastructure, despite differing perspectives.

She pointed out the rapid growth of Nigeria's youth population, which places immense pressure on the education system.
