UNILORIN's Abolarinwa Gbenga Graduates with First Class in Anatomy
Abolarinwa Gbenga, a graduate of the University of Ilorin (UNILORIN), achieved First Class Honours in Anatomy after a challenging academic journey. Gbenga graduated from FEMA Schools in Minna on 21 July 2018 as the second-best student, scoring 781 points.
His ambition was to study Medicine and Surgery, but after four unsuccessful attempts at the JAMB examination and five years waiting at home, he redirected his focus to Anatomy. He was admitted on the merit list and matriculated on 3 April 2023.
Although he aimed to switch to the MBBS programme, he did not meet the required marks in three courses during his second semester. Instead of dwelling on this setback, he committed fully to his Anatomy studies, inspired by scriptures from Romans 8:28 and Ecclesiastes 9:10.
On 5 September 2026, he was listed as a First Class Honours graduate, reflecting on his journey as a process of growth and transformation.
