United and Arsenal Compete for Victor Osimhen Transfer

Manchester United and Arsenal are in contention to sign Victor Osimhen from Galatasaray as the summer transfer window approaches its close. Manchester United has contacted Galatasaray to explore the possibility of acquiring Osimhen, although no formal bid has been made.

Meanwhile, Arsenal is reportedly closer to securing a deal, with claims that an offer exceeding £60 million could persuade Galatasaray to sell. Osimhen, 27, had a successful season in Istanbul, contributing 28 goals in 33 appearances, and has already scored twice in the current Super Lig season.

Galatasaray signed him from Napoli for €75 million in July 2025, with a four-year contract until 2029, including a net salary of €15 million per season. The club's president confirmed there is no release clause, and the asking price is around €150 million, having rejected a €130 million offer from Al-Hilal.

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta stated the club is actively seeking to strengthen its squad.
