University of Ibadan Launches Online Postgraduate Programmes

The University of Ibadan (UI) in Oyo State has launched fully online academic and professional postgraduate programmes for the 2026 intake, with applications set to open soon via the UI eCampus platform. The Senate of the University approved these programmes for 100% online delivery, which includes master's degree and postgraduate diploma programmes across various disciplines.

All courses will be taught by University of Ibadan faculty and will carry the same credentials as those awarded to on-campus students. The UI eCampus initiative targets working professionals and graduates in Nigeria, Africa, and the diaspora who cannot pause their careers or family commitments for postgraduate studies.

Students can study from any location, with flexible tuition payment options available. Professor Simisola O.

Akintola, Deputy Vice-Chancellor for Research, Innovation and Strategic Partnerships, represented Vice-Chancellor Prof Kayode Oyebode Adebowale, stating that this initiative is part of the university's strategic plan to enhance access to quality postgraduate education. The platform was developed in collaboration with Astria Learning, addressing a structural gap in Nigeria's higher education landscape.
