Law Student Goodluck Success Shares Inspiring Journey

Goodluck Success, a Law student at the University of Ibadan, recounted her journey from a childhood dream of becoming a lawyer at the age of eight to her current academic pursuit. In August 2026, she reflected on her experiences on LinkedIn, revealing her initial indecision about her career path, where she considered International Relations and Diplomacy but was informed that the University of Ibadan did not offer that program.

This led her to choose between Sociology and Political Science, ultimately selecting Political Science and listing the University of Ibadan as her first choice. Despite a poor mock examination score that shook her confidence, she prepared intensively for the main UTME, achieving a score that exceeded the requirements for Political Science.

This success prompted her to switch her course to Law, which brought new anxieties about the Post-UTME. After overcoming her doubts and passing the Post-UTME, she received an admission offer to study Law at the University of Ibadan.

Her journey exemplifies how setbacks can motivate personal growth and achievement.
