Zidane Supports Ronaldo Amid Portugal National Team Controversy
Zinedine Zidane, the current head coach of the France national team and former manager of Real Madrid, addressed the situation involving Cristiano Ronaldo, who recently left the Portugal national team's training camp following a disagreement with head coach Jorge Jesus. This incident occurred before Portugal's UEFA Nations League match against Denmark.
Zidane, who has previously enjoyed success with Ronaldo at Real Madrid, praised the 41-year-old striker for his remarkable influence on his career and the need for proper recognition of his achievements in football. Zidane stated, “Cristiano Ronaldo made me win incredible trophies.
Hats off to you, Cris. We must salute his great career the right way.” Ronaldo's exit from the national squad means he will miss Portugal's upcoming Nations League match against Norway.
