NLC and TUC to Hold Solidarity Rally Over FCDA Workers' Unpaid Salaries

The Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) and Trade Union Congress (TUC) have announced plans to hold a solidarity rally on February 3 in Abuja to support the strike by Federal Capital Development Authority (FCDA) workers over unpaid salaries. The joint union action committee (JUAC) of FCDA workers commenced an indefinite strike on January 19 after the expiration of a seven-day ultimatum issued to the management of the FCTA on January 7.

The rally aims to back JUAC's demands for the resolution of longstanding welfare grievances and to send a strong message to the authorities. The unions emphasize that the action is non-negotiable until justice is achieved and urge their members to remain resolute.

They warn against intimidation and reaffirm their commitment to standing with the workers until their demands are met.
