NLC and TUC to Hold Solidarity Rally for Striking FCDA Workers on February 3

The Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) and the Trade Union Congress (TUC) have announced a solidarity rally scheduled for February 3 in Abuja to show support for the striking workers of the Federal Capital Development Authority (FCDA). The Joint Union Action Committee (JUAC) initiated the strike on January 19 due to unpaid salaries, leading to the shutdown of key administrative offices.

The strike followed the expiration of a seven-day ultimatum issued on January 7 by the unions, demanding the FCDA management to address longstanding labor welfare issues. The rally aims to reaffirm labor principles, resist injustices, and emphasize the collective struggle for workers' rights.

Both NLC and TUC urge JUAC members to remain resolute and united in defending their rights until justice is achieved. The unions emphasize peaceful protests and mobilization, highlighting the importance of solidarity and unwavering support for the workers' cause.
