Four Dead, Eight Injured in Lagos-Ibadan Expressway Crash

A tragic accident occurred on the Lagos-Ibadan expressway, resulting in the deaths of four people and injuries to eight others. The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) Ogun Command confirmed the incident, which took place at approximately 1:30 AM on Sunday.

According to Mr. Afolabi Odunsi, the public relations officer, the accident involved a commercial Toyota Hiace bus with the registration number AGL 789 YL.

A total of 13 individuals were involved in the accident, comprising 11 adult males and two adult females. Preliminary investigations indicated that the accident was caused by a burst tyre and speeding, which led the driver to lose control of the vehicle.

The injured victims were transported to Famobi Hospital for medical treatment, while the bodies of the deceased were deposited at Idera Morgue.
