US Air Force Resumes Surveillance of ISWAP/Boko Haram in Borno, Nigerian Senate Approves Troop Deployment to Benin Republic

The US Air Force has resumed intelligence surveillance missions targeting ISWAP/Boko Haram fighters in Borno State, Nigeria. Additionally, the Nigerian Senate approved the deployment of troops to Benin Republic to restore peace following a recent coup attempt.

The US aircraft took off from Accra, Ghana, for the mission. Senate President Godswill Akpabio announced the decision during a plenary session.

The move signifies international cooperation in combating terrorism and maintaining regional stability.
