US and China Cut Tariffs and Start AI Talks

The United States and China have reached an agreement to reduce tariffs on $30 billion worth of goods. This decision was made during a formal dialogue initiated on artificial intelligence, which is expected to address issues related to the rapid development of advanced AI systems.

The agreements were established following a visit by Chinese President Xi Jinping to Washington. Both governments are focused on managing ongoing tensions concerning trade and technology.

While the tariff reduction builds upon previous negotiations, it does not resolve all existing trade disputes between Washington and Beijing.
