US Lawmaker Accuses Nigerian Minister of Bribery Attempt

Kimberli Daniel, a member of the Florida House of Representatives and a Democrat, accused Bello Matawalle, Nigeria's Minister of State for Defense, of attempting to bribe her to deflect attention from a United Nations World Congress Diplomats (UN WCD) report on the genocide of Christians in Nigeria. In a viral video released on her official Facebook account, Daniel claimed that Matawalle's alleged bribe was an effort to cover up the UN WCD report, which she insists highlights the killing of Christians in Nigeria.

Daniel emphasized that no amount of pressure would silence her stance against these killings. She also called for the removal of Matawalle by President Bola Tinubu, linking him to the violence in Plateau, Benue, and Kaduna states.

Daniel stated that she received evidence of financial inducements aimed at discrediting the report and dividing American electoral officials, asserting that she would not be intimidated by such bribery attempts.
