Kano CP Urges Responsible Firearm Use for New Officers

Kano State Police Commissioner Ibrahim Adamu Bakori delivered a charge to newly trained officers during a ceremony that marked the conclusion of a month-long specialized training program for the Police Mobile Force (PMF) held at the 9 PMF Squadron in Hotoro and the 52 PMF Squadron in Challawa. The training, which was conducted under the supervision of Inspector General of Police Olatunji Rilwan Disu, focused on rigorous combat techniques, weapon handling, and modern policing ethics to enhance the officers' capacity to tackle emerging security challenges.

Bakori emphasized the importance of responsible firearm use and urged officers to adopt a balanced approach in combating hard crime while maintaining civil interactions with the public. Deputy Commissioner of Police Audu Sabo Bakori reminded the officers that their uniform represents the integrity of the Nigeria Police Force.

The event featured tactical demonstrations, including riot control exercises.
