Kano Police Train 200 Officers in Combat Skills

The Kano State Police Command completed a month-long intensive training program for 200 police officers focused on combat and weapon handling. The training, conducted at the No 9 Police Mobile Force Squadron in Hotoro, Kano, aimed to strengthen operational capacity and improve service delivery across the state.

Commissioner Ibrahim Bakori, representing Deputy Commissioner Audu Sabo, stated that the training was designed to equip personnel with modern policing tactics to tackle emerging security challenges. The program included practical and theoretical training in weapon handling, combat tactics, intelligence-led policing, community relations, and human rights.

Officers were urged to demonstrate professionalism and discipline in their duties. The event featured a combat demonstration and the presentation of certificates to outstanding participants, including Corporal Aminu Ahm, Constable Umar Idri, Corporal Nasiru Ubal, and Constable Ismail Abubakar, who excelled in various categories.
