Usman’s LP Faction Reacts As INEC Claims Abure’s Tenure Has Expired

Usman's faction of the Labour Party has responded to INEC's claim that Abure's tenure has expired, following the dismissal of Abure's case by the Federal High Court in Abuja. According to Usman, INEC's affidavit confirms that Abure's tenure, along with the National Executive Committee, ended in June 2024.

The party praised INEC for its clarity and institutional integrity, urging members to move past the leadership crisis and uphold the party's constitution. Former National Treasurer Opara also supported INEC's affidavit, stating that it removed any doubts about Abure's leadership claim.

Opara criticized Abure for clinging to power as a publicity stunt and called on members to respect the law. The faction is committed to ensuring internal democracy within the party.
