Utomi Launches ‘Obidient Connect’ for 2027 Elections

Charl Odibo, the coalition's Director of Media Communications, highlighted that the platform aims to bridge the gap between citizens and the electoral process, addressing Nigeria's democratic setbacks and deepening insecurity. ‘Obidient Connect’ will facilitate connections among citizens at Nigeria's 176,864 polling units and in the diaspora, enabling real-time transmission of certified polling unit results to a central dashboard, thereby enhancing transparency and citizen oversight. Utomi emphasized that the platform will operate strictly within Nigerian law, particularly concerning diaspora contributions, and will not directly fund political parties.

The initiative seeks to establish strategic partnerships with credible organizations to support civic education and grassroots democratic advocacy. Utomi called for full cooperation from Nigerians globally, asserting that citizens must take charge of their future.
