VAF and TechRise Launch Digital Skills Training Initiative

The Veronica Anthoni Foundation, led by Dr. Veronica Akpasoh, in collaboration with TechRise DTI, has launched a digital skills training initiative targeting 1,000 youth across Africa.

This program aims to bridge the technological gap and improve youth employability by equipping participants with practical market skills. The initiative focuses on essential digital competencies, including the use of AI tools, cloud storage, and office tools from Microsoft, Google, and Canva.

Dr. Akpasoh emphasized the program's design to address the growing mismatch between graduates' qualifications and labor market demands.

The initiative will run quarterly with three cohorts each year, reflecting a commitment to empowering young African graduates. Nseabasi Udondian, Executive Director of TechRise DTI, noted that the collaboration aligns with the foundation's mission to promote education and youth development.

The program aims to prepare participants for challenges in the digital economy and create new career opportunities, ultimately benefiting families and communities.
