ASUU Strike Enters 6th Day with No Progress, Nationwide Disruptions

The ongoing strike by the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) in Nigeria has reached its sixth day with no resolution in sight despite intervention attempts by the House of Representatives. ASUU Chairman at Yakubu Gowon University, Dr.

Sylvanus Ugoh, expressed dissatisfaction with the lack of progress in negotiations with the federal government. The strike has paralyzed academic activities nationwide, leading to fears of prolonged disruptions in the public tertiary education system.

Nigerian students have issued a seven-day ultimatum for the government and ASUU to resolve their differences to avoid further unrest.
