VDM Visits Oluwo, Ready to Engage in Local Politics

On Wednesday, Martin Vincent Ots, popularly known as VDM, visited Oba Abdulroshe Akanbi at the Oluwo Palace in Iwo, Osun State. During this visit, VDM, a member of the Ratel Movement, declared his readiness to actively participate in politics.

He commended President Bola Tinubu for granting full autonomy to local governments, emphasizing the importance of grassroots development. VDM urged Tinubu to ensure the full implementation of this autonomy, particularly in distributing local government dividends.

He encouraged citizens to increase their oversight and monitor local government authorities, advocating for accountability similar to that of state governments. VDM expressed optimism about the movement's future political activities, indicating plans to support local governance initiatives soon.

He acknowledged the frustrations faced by local governments in Osun State but expressed happiness over the autonomy granted by the President, appealing for collective energy to oversee and critique local and state government administration in Nigeria.
