Oborevwori Urges Clerics to Support Tinubu for 2027

On Wednesday, Delta State Governor Rt Hon Sheriff Oborevwori called upon Christian leaders to extend their support to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the All Progressives Congress (APC) as part of preparations for the 2027 general elections. During a special prayer visit by the Executive Committee of the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN), led by Bishop Abos Willie, Oborevwori expressed that his affiliation with the APC necessitated his commitment to the re-election of President Tinubu and the party's candidates.

He attributed his governorship victory in 2023 to divine grace and the prayers of Christian leaders, urging the church to pray for the President's wisdom and health. He noted that ongoing reforms were improving local government financial capabilities, allowing for better execution of developmental projects.

Oborevwori also stressed the need for responsible political engagement by Christians and called for continued prayers for peace and stability in Delta State.
