VeryBlackDarkMan Defends Against Violence Incitement Claims

Martin Vincent Ots, popularly known as VeryBlackDarkMan, responded to allegations of inciting violence during recent unrest in Plateau. His comments, made in a viral video reacting to a March 29 attack in Angwan Rukuba, were criticized for allegedly encouraging violence.

Ots insisted that his remarks were taken out of context, emphasizing that he never called for violence against any religious group. He expressed frustration over the government's inadequate response to repeated violence, urging residents to protect themselves rather than wait for government intervention.

Ots highlighted the trauma he witnessed, including the aftermath of killings, and stressed that his intent was to promote self-defense rather than aggression. He condemned the framing of his words as promoting religious violence, asserting that violence affects all Nigerians regardless of religion.
