Baba Johunomi Reveals Prostate Cancer Battle on Facebook

Veteran actor Musiliu Dasofunjo, popularly known as Baba Johunomi, has publicly shared his battle with prostate cancer, urging individuals to pay attention to health changes and seek medical help promptly. In a video posted on Facebook by fellow actor Kunle Afod, Johunomi revealed that his first symptom was a change in his urine, specifically a splitting stream that sprayed in different directions.

Initially, he ignored this symptom and only sought medical attention after experiencing difficulty urinating. He stated, “it might not have gotten to this stage if I was aware of the symptoms earlier.” After undergoing numerous tests and scans, he was referred to the University College Hospital (UCH) in Ibadan, where specialists suggested taking part of his tissue for an advanced cancer test, which has caused him significant worry.

His disclosure comes shortly after the death of another veteran actor, Taiwo Hassan, known as Ogogo, who passed away from cancer at the age of 66.
