Davido Celebrates Uncle Adeleke's Re-election in Osun

Afrobeats artist David Adeleke, known as Davido, expressed his joy over the re-election of his uncle, Ademola Adeleke, as Governor of Osun State. Following the announcement of the 2026 governorship election results, Davido shared a celebratory video on X, captioned “WE DID IT UNC.” The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) officially declared Ademola Adeleke, the Accord Party candidate, as the winner.

The declaration was made by the Returning Officer, Professor Joshua Olalekan Ogunwole, on Sunday morning after collating results from all 30 local government areas in the state. Adeleke received a total of 511,067 votes, defeating Bola Oyebamiji of the All Progressives Congress (APC), who garnered 444,815 votes.

Professor Ogunwole confirmed that Adeleke met all constitutional requirements for victory, stating, “That, Ademola Adeleke of Accord Party, having satisfied the requirements of the law, is hereby declared winner and is returned elected, duly signed by me.”.
