Tinubu and Wife Vote in APC Presidential Primary in Lagos

On Saturday, Bola Tinubu, the incumbent President of Nigeria, and his wife, Oluremi Tinubu, participated in the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential primary held in Ikoyi, Lagos. This event marks the beginning of a nationwide exercise ahead of the 2027 general elections.

The couple arrived in a motorcade to a large crowd of party supporters and security personnel. Video footage captured their navigation through the dense crowd, dressed in traditional attire.

Tinubu described the primary as a demonstration of internal democracy, expressing satisfaction with its conduct across the country. Bayo Onanuga, a special adviser, noted that Tinubu praised APC governors for their roles in the electoral process, highlighting the accreditation of valid members and the certification of the electoral process.

This primary is crucial as Tinubu seeks re-nomination as the APC's flagbearer for the upcoming presidential elections.
