K1 De Ultimate Mourns Ogogo's Death During Performance

During a live stage performance, King Wasiu Ayinde Marshal, popularly known as K1 De Ultimate, became emotional while mourning the death of veteran Nollywood actor Taiwo Hassan, known as Ogogo. A video circulating on social media shows K1 De Ultimate breaking down in tears as he paid tribute to Ogogo, reflecting on his legacy in the Nigerian entertainment industry.

The tribute song prompted K1 to step away from the microphone and weep openly, leading his band members to pause the performance to console him. After regaining composure, he continued the tribute.

Taiwo Hassan passed away on Sunday, August 23, 2026, at the age of 66, reportedly after battling a serious illness. His daughters, Kaira and Lima Taiwo, had appealed for medical assistance on August 17, stating that doctors could no longer administer chemotherapy due to his condition.

Ogogo's death has elicited an outpouring of tributes from colleagues, friends, fans, and other personalities in the entertainment industry.
