Violent Protest Against Kidnappings in Edo State Leads to Injuries and Arrests

In Edo State, a protest staged by youth students in Ekpoma, Esan West Local Government Area, against kidnappings turned violent, resulting in injuries and arrests. The police spokesperson, Eno Ikoedem, confirmed one injury, with the victim receiving medical attention at Eromoel Medical Center in Ekpoma.

The protest, initially peaceful, was hijacked by hoodlums who engaged in violent acts, vandalism, and looting. The police mobilized personnel to restore peace and identified and arrested those involved in the violent activities.
