Anambra Ministry Partners with NOA for Voter Education

The Anambra State Information Ministry plans to collaborate with the National Orientation Agency (NOA) to drive voter education and promote peaceful electoral attitudes. Dr.

Law Mefor, the Anambra State Commissioner for Information and Value Reformation, made this commitment during a courtesy visit from a NOA delegation led by Mr. Theresa Maduekw, the South East Zonal Director.

The partnership aims to align the ministry's mandate with NOA's core work of attitude change and citizen enlightenment. Dr.

Mefor highlighted the need for a combination of persuasion and serious enforcement to achieve behavior change, referencing the Anambra Homeland Security Law of 2025 as an example of effective enforcement against crime. He also pointed out that the ministry's role is to reorient citizens and tackle social vices through advocacy and education.

The collaboration seeks to mobilize citizens towards valuing cultural behavior and reforming societal attitudes.
