Okonkwo: Voting Obi in 2027 Supports Tinubu's Bid

Kenneth Okonkwo, a chieftain of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), expressed that voting for Peter Obi in the 2027 presidential election would ultimately benefit incumbent President Bola Tinubu. In an interview with Symfoni TV on Wednesday, Okonkwo emphasized the need for a united opposition to effectively challenge Tinubu's re-election.

He criticized Obi's decision to leave the ADC coalition talks, claiming that Obi is unwilling to participate in the primary process and that no one can force him to enter the ADC. Okonkwo mentioned that Victor Umeh, a previous Labour Party spokesman and Anambra South Senatorial candidate, suggested that the South East has the best opportunity to produce a president through political alliances with northern leaders.

Okonkwo further claimed that Umeh advised Obi but noted that Obi is stubborn and does not heed political advice. He cautioned that any vote for Obi would inadvertently support Tinubu's chances of securing a second term.
