Shettima Praises Tinubu for Regional Development Commissions

On Wednesday, Vice President Senator Kashim Shettima commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for the establishment of regional development commissions, which aim to leverage regional strengths for Nigeria's prosperity. During a courtesy visit from the South West Development Commission (SWDC) management, led by board chairman Senator Olubunmi Adetunmbi, Shettima highlighted the need for innovation, collaboration, and integrity in the commissions' operations.

He stated that the South West region, known for its enterprise and education, plays a crucial role in Nigeria's development. Shettima urged the SWDC to focus on measurable, transparent projects that attract private investment, emphasizing that development thrives on institutional collaboration.

He reiterated the Federal Government's support for genuine regional development efforts. Adetunmbi praised the Tinubu administration for its economic reforms, which led to the creation of the regional development commissions.
