Vunobolki Resigns from APC, Accuses Fintiri of Manipulation

Mauric Vunobolki, a governorship aspirant in Adamawa State, has officially resigned from the All Progressives Congress (APC) as of April 13, 2026. He accused the state governor, Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, of manipulating party congresses, claiming a breakdown of trust and abandonment of promises regarding equity and fairness.

Vunobolki, who previously left the People's Democratic Party (PDP) in February 2023 to join the APC, expressed concerns over irregularities in membership registration and the imposition of candidates. He highlighted that certain aspirants were favored in the primary elections, undermining the democratic process.

Vunobolki warned that the current framework lacks inclusivity and transparency, which could lead to a repeat of past electoral failures. He emphasized his loyalty to democratic principles and called for support across all 21 local government areas in Adamawa State as he seeks to pursue a credible democratic platform.
