APC Governorship Aspirant Vunobolki Resigns from Party

Vunobolki, a governorship aspirant in Adamawa State, announced his resignation from the All Progressives Congress (APC) during a press briefing in Yola on Tuesday. He cited a lack of transparency and fair internal democracy within the party as his reasons for leaving.

This decision follows recent developments within the APC that contradicted earlier assurances given to members. Vunobolki disclosed his intention to defect to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) on February 23, 2026, based on the assurance of fair practices within the PDP.

He expressed disappointment with the current state of the APC, stating that the political environment has become increasingly characterized by imposition rather than democratic processes. Despite his resignation, Vunobolki remains a governorship aspirant and has not yet decided on a new political platform but is urging support across Adamawa State as he withdraws his membership from the APC.
