WAEC Reaffirms Integrity of 2026 WASSCE Results

The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) reaffirmed the credibility and integrity of the 2026 West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) results in a statement issued on August 13, 2026, by its Head of Public Affairs, Moyosola F. Adesina.

WAEC expressed concern over public commentary from content creators and social media commentators questioning the accuracy of the results. The council stated that the examination results were produced through rigorous, transparent, and quality-assured processes, adhering to established standard operating procedures and relevant educational policies in collaboration with the Federal Ministry of Education.

WAEC urged the public to exercise caution and avoid relying on unverified claims circulating on social media. The council explained that every candidate's script undergoes a multi-tiered system of marking, moderation, and auditing, supervised by vetted subject experts.

WAEC also advised candidates and the public to raise any concerns through its offices or verified online platforms instead of social media speculation.
