Super Falcons Captain Ajibade Disappointed by WAFCON Delay

Rasheedat Ajibade, the captain of Nigeria's Super Falcons, publicly expressed her disappointment regarding the postponement of the 2026 Women's Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON). The tournament was initially set to commence on March 17 but has been rescheduled to July following an announcement from the Confederation of African Football (CAF) on Thursday.

The postponement was attributed to unforeseen circumstances. Ajibade took to social media to voice her frustration, emphasizing that African women's football deserves better treatment.

She also shared her feelings using an emoji to convey her disappointment. Prior to this announcement, the Super Falcons played two friendly matches against Cameroon the previous week, indicating their preparation for the tournament.
