Super Falcons Decamp After WAFCON 2026 Postponement

The Super Falcons, Nigeria's women's national football team, will decamp after the Confederation of African Football (CAF) postponed the 2026 Women's Africa Cup of Nations. Under the guidance of their coach, Justin Madugu, the team returned to Nigeria on Wednesday after playing two friendly matches against the Indomitable Lionesses of Cameroon.

The African champions were initially preparing for the tournament, which is now expected to take place in July, although CAF has not yet announced the host country for the biennial competition. The Super Falcons have been drawn into Group C alongside Malawi, Zambia, and Egypt as they prepare for the final phase of their training and competition.
