Super Falcons Set for UK Training Tour Ahead of WAFCON 2026

The Super Falcons, Nigeria's women's national football team, will undertake a training tour in the United Kingdom from May 23 to May 28, 2024, as part of their preparations for the 2026 Women's Africa Cup of Nations. This initiative is under the guidance of the new head coach, Justin Madugu, who will utilize this opportunity to assess new players.

The team is expected to engage in friendly matches during this training camp. Notably, key star players are anticipated to miss the tour due to club commitments.

The Super Falcons were scheduled to face Cape Verde in a double-header friendly at Remo Star Stadium in Ikenne last month; however, this fixture was called off after Cape Verde announced they would not honor the match. The Super Falcons are expected to participate in friendly matches during the next FIFA international window scheduled for June 7 to June 14, 2024.
