WAFU B to Release 2026 Football Calendar Soon

Ibrahim Gusau, president of the West Africa Football Union Zone B (WAFU B), announced that the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) confirmed the upcoming release of the 2026 football calendar for the region. This schedule will encompass various competitions for boys and girls, aimed at preparing for youth football across Africa.

The calendar will be made public once finalized. Key events include the Africa U-17 Cup of Nations, set to take place in Morocco from April 25 to May 15, 2026, which will serve as a qualifying tournament for the FIFA U-17 World Cup.

Additionally, no regional tournament will occur in 2026 for the U-20 level, and Nigeria will not participate in the 2026 U-17 Africa Cup of Nations due to failing to qualify. The upcoming WAFU B calendar is expected to guide member associations in planning youth development programs throughout the 2026 season.
